Mission -  The Center for Pakistan Studies shares the mission and philosophy of its parent organization, the Middle East Institute. The Center is non-partisan and does not advocate for any political party or group.

Goal - The Center aims to promote knowledge and understanding among the peoples of Pakistan and the United States.

Activities - Under the direction of Dr. Marvin Weinbaum, the Middle East Institute's Center for Pakistan Studies works with academics and experts to produce original research; sponsor speakers; provide briefings to the media, Congress, and government entities; develop the next generation of Pakistan scholars through the internship program; host a Pakistan scholar in Washington DC; and establish an Online Forum to promote discussion.
