  • Elementary Turkish I

    In the elementary Turkish courses students will learn to read and write Modern Turkish (the language of radio, television, and newspaper) as well as to communicate with native speakers of Turkish on elementary topics. Focus will be placed on fundamentals of Turkish phonology, simple sentence structures taught through grammar excercises, and controlled vocabulary relevant to basic communicative needs of students.

  • Elementary Turkish II

    In Elementary Turkish II, students will grow more comfortable reading, writing, and speaking Turkish, and will be able to engage with native speakers of Turkish in everyday conversation. Vocabulary will be expanded and more complex sentence and question structures will be emphasized to develop phrase variation.

  • Weekend Intensive Elementary Turkish

    In the Weekend Intensive Elementary Turkish students will learn to read and write Modern Turkish (the language of radio, television, and newspaper) as well as to communicate with native speakers of Turkish on elementary topics.   • Intermediate Turkish I

    A study of the intermediate level of Turkish providing the analysis of complex sentence structures of the language with an emphasis on extending vocabulary which aims to provide the basic skills of reading authentic articles and essays written in Turkish and conversing on a variety of topics.

  • Intermediate Turkish II

    In Intermediate Turkish II, students expand their vocabulary skills through reading, writing, and speaking. Authentic Turkish articles and essays are used which allow students to become comfortable with challenging vocabulary and complex sentence structure. Verbal communication skills are stressed through conversation on various topics introduced in the course.
