Mr. Wasty commenced his professional career at the Planning Commission of Pakistan where he served as Special Assistant to the Minister for Finance, Planning and Development.  Subsequently he has worked at the World Bank (Operations Evaluation, Learning and Leadership, and Quality Assurance), and later became the Managing Director and acting CEO of G. William Miller Financial Integrity Services, LLC.  Currently, he is the president of a Washington-based consulting firm: Sharakpur, Ltd.  His guest lecturer positions have included those at Cornell-in-Washington Program, the Johns Hopkins University SAIS, and Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School.  He is a member of panel of evaluation experts of UNDP and FAO, and has published extensively on the assessment of development effectiveness of external assistance policies of the international financial institutions in a variety of countries and regions.  His most latest assignment has consisted of leading a multi-disciplinary team to asess United Nations' assistance to Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government.
