
Senator Wyche Fowler, Jr. is the former U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. Prior to this, Senator Fowler served as the U.S. Senator from Georgia from 1987 to 1993 as a member of the Appropriations, Budget, Energy, and Agriculture Committees. He also served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1977 to 1987 as a member of the Ways and Means and Foreign Affairs Committees, the Committee of Intelligence, and the Congressional Acts Caucus. He was a member and later president of the Atlanta City Council, and practiced law in Atlanta for eight years prior to election.
